Thanks Kim! Seals of any age are fascinating to me but the pups always steal the show.

Beautiful wildlife photos! And I think the one from Nice qualifies as its own sort of wild life.

You take such beautiful photos – it’s always a pleasure to see them!
Also, I had a quick question for you about Yellowstone, if you don’t mind me asking. Was May a good time to go and would you have any suggestions about visiting the park, or anything else? My husband and I are hoping to go in 2013 (we were thinking around May/June), and we would love any suggestions!
Thanks so much, and all the best for 2013 (and hopefully more beautiful photos!
)!

Dounia,
Thank you! I really liked being there in May as there were fewer people than the summer months. I think that is the biggest advantage. The disadvantage is that the services (hotels, restaurants, etc) may not be open yet – many open memorial day. Another disadvantage (depending on how you look at it) is that the weather can vary greatly. I saw brilliant sunshine, pouring rain, and snow during my week there. I kind of tried to see the whole park so I planned my trip so I would at least get to ride through most of it. I spent more time in the northern sections because I wanted to photograph wildlife and there are more opportunities up there. In any case, I think you’ll have a great time. Have a great new year!
PS – I liked it so much last year that I’m meeting another photographer friend up there this May.

Thanks so much for your detailed response, Scott, I really appreciate it! I absolutely loved your wildlife photos from Yellowstone, and I’m hoping we’ll have a chance to see that for ourselves. And I’ll be looking forward to more photos this year after your trip in May!

I’m glad you liked “the arm”. I saw that out of the corner of my eye and had to take it…kinda makes you wonder about “the rest of the story” inside….
