Trick Question – Where was this taken?

San Diego Parrot

If you think it was during our South America trip, you are wrong!  This was taken not far from the San Diego Airport.  I also have other photos of these Parrots taken in our own back yard.  They travel in noisy groups and are not an uncommon site.

Wow, what a great shot! And San Diego! I had no idea you could get such Tropical parrots up here…in the US that is.

    • Julia,
They’ve been around here for years but I only started to notice them when I got back into photography and started looking for them. Don’t know whether there was a group that escaped from the zoo or some private home but they seem to like it here and have thrived. OBTW – see you are in NY – I grew up in NJ but don’t get back there much anymore. Hope you join us again – I’m new to this blogging thing but I think I have some good photos to share.

  2. I think he’s looking at you. … Must be kismet. I’ve heard them and seen them at a distance around Point Loma for years. Today, for the first time, I saw two up close in a palm tree. Looked to me like they had taken up residence. I got a snap on my iPhone that proves I saw them, but nothing close to the art you present!
