Zombies out early in San Diego...

Another local current events post.  I’ve always wanted to go down to see what Comic-Con was all about but have never ventured downtown to see – until yesterday.  It wasn’t really planned, I was just going for a hike to put a few miles on my hiking boots before we head to the Sierras this week.  Anyway, I took my camera in case I saw anything interesting (thinking wildlife in the canyon) and I finally ended up downtown around lunchtime.  Didn’t really have the right lens with me but caught some shots anyway.  It was a “target rich environment” as the military say – as you can see from this understated couple of heroes….

Comic-Con Cuties

Then of course there are the horny (or spiked) characters that are just hanging out to attract the chicks…

All dressed up with nowhere to go

It seemed like a really happy crowd and everyone was having a great time, whether posing, taking photos, or just enjoying whatever happens inside the convention hall – maybe next year.
