Sharing moments in time…

Weekly Photo Challenge: Up

Again, I’m being lazy but I’ve been looking for a place to use this (what I consider) extraordinary shot from Alaska last week.  This was an early morning shot of a mature bald eagle launching from the top of a tree.  The light was perfect to catch the highlights of his feathers – hope you enjoy!

    • Brenda,
I agree – but some of the Alaskans have a lesser opinion. While we were up there I heard the bald eagle referred to as “dumpster chickens” and “glorified vultures”. I guess it is in the eye of the beholder….

  8. The individual feathers on the right wing are incredible.

    • Thanks Cathy – I like this one a lot but it isn’t my favorite eagle shot of the week! I have one of a Juvenile that I think is really good.
