Sharing moments in time…

Hello – From Jackson Hole (Wyoming)

Hi everyone!  We arrived in Jackson Hole this afternoon to the cold and mostly cloudy weather.  After having lunch and walking around a little in town we stopped for a cup of hot chocolate at our new favorite coffee shop.  While there we asked one of the “locals” where there might be an interesting place to walk.  He suggested that if we walked for about 45 minutes we could go up to the National Elk Reserve and possibly see some big horn sheep.  He actually recommended that we do it another day as we were running out of sunlight but we decided to go anyway.  It was a very nice enjoyable walk and although we only saw some sheep at a great distance (and I didn’t have a long telephoto with me) we got some really nice light about sunset.  This farm house is on the elk reserve and the house and tree provided a great contrast to the increasing shadows and failing light.  A nice first evening.  We’ll hit the slopes (or they will hit us) tomorrow.

  6. Wasting no time, as usual. This is just beautiful. The clouded background and sunny foreground create quite a contrast. Happy skiing!
