Sharing moments in time…

Snapshots from above the clouds…

So we headed for the slopes this morning with an overcast sky but with the promise of some new snow today.  When we got to the ski area it was still overcast but the ski patrol guys told us that it was clear at the top of the gondola.  So after a quick warm up run (first of the season) we headed up the gondola.  As we reached the top we were treated to some pretty impressive views looking down at the clouds and the mountaintops across the valley.  I didn’t have any of my “good” cameras with me but I  had my trusty old P&S Panasonic ZS-6 in my pocket.  Not my best technical images but some  that I thought were worth sharing.  The first is of my wife, Dee, mugging for the camera against a spectacular backdrop.

Cotton floor below....

The next is a shot of a couple of skiers farther down the slope, approaching the cloud tops, with a couple of airplanes far overhead imitating shooting stars with their contrails…

Ski tracks and contrails

OBTW – we are done for the day and tired but it is snowing in town!
