Cloudy day in Colorado

Cloudy day - but beautiful nonetheless

We were driving through Colorado today and decided to drive through the Colorado National Monument.  In our estimation this may be one of the least known spectacular natural monuments.  It is just outside of Grand Junction, Colorado and is a 23 mile drive through incredible canyons and spires.  Many times there are rock climbers scaling the vertical columns but today was kind of “iffy” weather so we were pretty much the only people there.  Nice to have such a beautiful place to ourselves.

  1. This is so beautiful – you’ve got all the natural elements in there, and shown them so well. Snow, skeleton trees, depth of the canyon. how lucky to have had the space to yourselves!

  2. What a majestic looking place. Somewhere where you can surely feel at one with nature (especially on a day when there are no others around).
