Alaska – Scratching that itch

I know its been several days since I’ve posted a bear picture so I thought you guys might be getting “bear withdrawal”.  I’ll try to help with just this short post today to “scratch that itch”.   This is the way the bears do it….

Boy does that feel good!

    • Thanks Anarya – some of these ordinary moments with the bears provided the best insights into their lives and behaviors.

What an intense expression! Soooo lovable! 🙂 Isn’t it funny how we all have a similar expression when we scratch a serious itch. 🙂
I’m in awe of their amazingly cuddley-looking coats. Sooo thick! I wonder what they’d look like with a haircut! They’d be so much smaller. WOuldn’t it be nice if they were domesticated and could sleep safely beside you on freezing nights to warm you up! 🙂

    • Rach – Its easy to think of them in non-wild terms – we needed to keep reminding ourselves of the wild side.

I know Scott, I still like the thought of cuddling a warm bear on a freezing night. 🙂 I’m an artist, I like to imagine. 😉
