Sharing moments in time…

Tuesday Screech!

Hi everyone!  Its been a while since I posted any wildlife photos.  After being gone for a while and photographing mainly landscapes, buildings, and people (we did not see much wildlife at all in southern Europe) – I was anxious to get back and photograph something wild and moving quickly.  This photo doesn’t really address the second part but this red shouldered hawk is certainly wild….and noisy!  He always tries to provide great wake-up call services for our neighborhood.  As you can see, he gives it his all – including sticking his tongue out at us!

“keep it down! – The dogs are still sleeping!”

    • Thanks Cheryl – he (or she) was just sitting there with a small rodent in its talons. Even the fact that he had food didn’t keep him from “mouthing off”

  2. I’m amazed everytime I look at this at the incredible detail. Never thought about a hawk’s tongue!
