Painters of the Riviera….


These are not exactly what I think about when I consider the European Master painters but they are interesting and well-done in their own way.  I didn’t expect to see much graffiti during our Riviera walks but it caught my eye when I did see some ….

Eye-catching art in the train station in Villefranche Sur Mer, France

This second work was very unexpected on a beautiful walk to Cap Ferrat, France.  It was on a broken down old building along the Sentier which was overlooked by incredible multi-million dollar estates up on the hills.  It would have looked much more at home on a building in the French Quarter of New Orleans than on this idyllic stretch of the French Riviera……

    • Lynne – I think there’s art pretty much wherever you look – its just a matter of whether you take the time to look at it….
