First India Wildlife Photo – the Jackal
So far, all my posts from India have been people or places – when half of our trip was actually spent at wildlife sanctuaries or National Parks. This Jackal was the first animal we saw on the way to one of those sanctuaries. He was running in a brushy canyon by the side of the road. As we stopped to get a photo, it became apparent that he was feasting on a dead cow which was down in the canyon. Being the scavenger that he is, the Jackal was enjoying a large meal.
