Sharing moments in time…

Weekly Photo Challenge: Up

Being somewhat of a wildlife photographer, when I think of up, I naturally think of birds in flight.  Given that, and the events of this week, I went back to see if I had any eagle photos I hadn’t posted yet…

I found this one that felt like an iconic bald eagle shot and hope that it helps us all keep our heads up in this time of national tragedy.

    • Thanks James – I enjoyed looking through some of your photos of the English and Irish countrysides. We spent some time in the Lake country a few years back and really enjoyed it.

  2. Intensely solemn, powerful and beautiful, a much needed emblem for the tragic events this week. Thoughtfully done and said, Scott!

    • Thank you so much Cheryl – the stories that keep coming from that tragedy are very uplifting – at least some good has come from the senseless act.

  4. Fabulous photo.
I never realised the underside of the wings is so colourful.

    • Delft – Thanks. The quick processing I did on that photo put more blue in the wings underside than is really there. This particular eagle is (I think) coming out of its juvenile period and therefore has more white patches than the mature eagles do….

  21. I never grow tired seeing the baldies soar in the skies above. They have been moving with spring lately, always seeing multiple as I drive northern Minnesota’s highways in recent weeks.

    • Kat – you’re very lucky to have them in your area! We get one or two down here occasionally but they are an extremely rare sight locally.
